Healing Women. Strengthening Families.

A Sisterhood for Fatherless Daughters provides programs designed to address both the personal impact of fatherlessness and the needs women may experience as they navigate adulthood, motherhood, relationships, and family life.

Our work currently centers around two core programs: Bonding Time, our signature healing program for adult women impacted by fatherlessness, and the Sisterhood Family Support Initiative, our family-support program for single mothers and their households.

Together, these programs allow us to support both the woman and the family—creating opportunities for healing, connection, stability, and growth.

Our Programs

Bonding Time

Bonding Time is ASFD's signature 12-session healing program for adult women impacted by fatherlessness.

Through guided conversations, reflection, interactive activities, and shared experiences, participants explore how fatherlessness may have influenced their identity, relationships, self-worth, boundaries, and personal growth.

Women move through the program as a closed cohort, creating consistency, trust, accountability, and meaningful connections with others who understand.

Bonding Time focuses on:

  • Healing and personal growth

  • Abandonment and rejection

  • Identity and self-worth

  • Relationships and healthy boundaries

  • Forgiveness and letting go

  • Resilience and coping

  • Goal setting and moving forward

  • Sisterhood and belonging

Sisterhood Family Support Initiative

The Sisterhood Family Support Initiative (SFSI) provides individualized support to single mothers and their households as they navigate circumstances affecting family stability and well-being.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, SFSI works to understand each family's needs and connect mothers with appropriate resources, referrals, community support, and practical assistance when available.

SFSI may include:

  • Individualized family-support planning

  • Community resource navigation

  • Referrals to service providers

  • Connections to community partners

  • Practical assistance when resources are available

  • Follow-up and continued resource navigation

Participation in Bonding Time is not required to request support through SFSI.

Two Programs. One Mission.

While Bonding Time and SFSI address different needs, both are rooted in ASFD's commitment to helping women heal, grow, and thrive.

Bonding Time supports the woman.

SFSI helps strengthen the family around her.

Together, they reflect our belief that supporting women can create an impact that reaches beyond one individual—to relationships, households, communities, and future generations.

Not Sure Where to Start?

If you're looking for a healing-centered experience and connection with women who understand fatherlessness, Bonding Time may be right for you.

If you're a single mother seeking resources, referrals, or support for your household, SFSI may be the right place to start.
