Tiaira is the founder of A Sisterhood for Fatherless Daughters. She started A Sisterhood for Fatherless Daughters with the vision to create a community for women like her and the young girl she used to be. Although their stories were very different, the majority of her friends growing up were all fatherless, her mother included. It's sad how normal growing up without a father was in her world. Something I'm sure a lot of women can relate to!

When Tiaira was 15 years old she lost her father to gun violence, her father was killed by the Gardena police on March 9, 2010. Not knowing that her life was about to change drastically she had no idea what the world would be like growing up without her father. Not having a father figure at such an impactful time of her life caused her to make a lot of wrong decisions when it came to different relationships.

In 2021 she also lost her brother due to gun violence, and he left behind his 2 daughters, and now at the age of 4 they too are fatherless. This nonprofit means so much to her and it is so important for her to make a difference for all the girls growing up after her. So that they don't feel alone, so they're given the opportunity to not make the same mistakes that she made, to give them a voice, to shine light on the many symptoms that come from being fatherless, and to help reshape those mindsets of the older women that may not understand why they are the way they are.
I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities. Let's connect.
